Katy Perry and Russell Brand's Wedding Under Investigation?

Katy Perry and Russell Brand's Wedding Under Investigation?

Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand attempted to have a "very private and spiritual ceremony" on Oct. 23, but it seems their nuptials still managed to cause bit of a stir.

According to E!, Perry and Brand's lavish wedding ceremony, which took place at the Aman-i-Khas resort near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India (where the couple got engaged earlier this year), could be coming under investigation.

It seems Perry, 26, and Brand, 35, may have violated some local laws, including  those having to do with noise and disturbance, at the culturally and spiritually significant land.

It's also being reported that Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of the State of Rajasthan, stopped by the sanctuary after the wedding to look into the claims.

"An inquiry into the debacle has been ordered by the state government and, should further questioning be required, they could possibly detain Brand, Perry, the wedding guests and organizers of the event," E! reports. "Should they take it all the way, the group could also be called to court."

But this isn't the only trouble the lovebirds have found themselves in recently. Brand was arrested in September for battery when he shoved a paparazzo who was allegedly attempting to take an upskirt photo of Perry. The actor-comedian was released on $20,000 bail.

There's no word yet on reaction from the Perry-Brand camp about the India investigation. The pair are currently on their honeymoon, but the "Teenage Dream" singer has since twittered a cute picture for their well-wishing fans.

Do you think Katy Perry and Russell Brand should be investigated for their actions during their wedding? Chime in below!
