Emily Blunt and John Krasinski certainly didn't get long to enjoy life as newlyweds! Just one month after tying the knot in July 2010, the British actress had to jet off to England, Scotland and Morocco to work on the film Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
But despite the occasional work-mandated distance, Blunt, 29, says nothing is more important than her marriage to The Office star, 32.
"We were far from home I guess, but we were so busy working we really didn't think about it much," Blunt told Us Weekly while promoting her new film.
Blunt revealed that there's no secret other than communication when it comes to securing closeness from afar.
"You talk, you email, you do all of that. There is no magic answer," she explained. "It's just the way anyone else would do it. You do your best and make it a priority."
Luckily for Blunt, she had cool costars to keep her entertained while she was on the movie set and Krasinski was working on The Office. She hung out with fellow Brits Ewan McGregor, 40, and Kristin Scott Thomas, 51.
"We only had one day off a week, so there was a little local market -- they call them souks in Morocco -- and we'd go and buy jewelry and like little trinkets," she told Us. "But mostly on the one day off we'd just collapse by the pool!"
