The 2011 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards are still a month-and-a-half away, but the show is already living up to its billing as "country's biggest night." All five artists vying for CMA's highest honor, the entertainer of the year award, will be performing at the Nov. 9 awards ceremony, the Country Music Association announced Tuesday. That means that Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley and Jason Aldean will take the stage to drop some sweet country beats.
Each of the performer-nominees also performed at last year's CMA Awards, and three of them have won the show's top prize before: Urban snagged it in 2005, Swift was victorious in 2009, and Paisley won for the first time ever in 2010 (though he'd been nominted every year since '05).
Nov. 9 will be an especially busy night for Paisley. In addition to performing, he's up for five awards, which ties him with Swift, Shelton and Aldean for the most nods. And, on top of that, he's cohosting the CMAs with erstwhile American Idol Carrie Underwood for the second year running.
Can Paisley score the night's top prize once again? You'll have to tune in to ABC on Nov. 9 to find out. (Click here for a full list of nominees.)
