After the It Gets Better campaign was created last year, tons of celebrities came forward to share their own experiences with bullying. And recently, actor Giovanni Ribisi spoke out against the epidemic which is affecting our nation's kids and teens.
Because October is National Anti-Bullying Month, iVillage asked the actor (who stars opposite Johnny Depp in the film The Rum Diary, in theaters Oct. 28) if he had ever been bullied in school.
"Was I ever not bullied?" the actor told iVillage exclusively. But since Ribisi is also a dad, the topic is even more upsetting to him.
"I have a 14-year-old daughter, and with the age of Facebook and all that... It's horrible," he said. "I took it for granted and thought, 'Oh, it's just another thing for people to complain about' -- until my daughter went through that experience. It's horrible."
With celebrities speaking out about bullying, we can only hope that awareness can lead to change.
