Daniel Radcliffe is coming to Saturday Night Live! The Harry Potter film series may be over, but its endearing star has only just hit his stride. He wraps up his Broadway stint in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Jan. 1 and his next film, The Woman in Black, hits movie theaters one month later (Feb. 3). In the meantime, he's been tapped to make his SNL hosting debut Jan. 14. Talk about a full dance card!
Although the diminutive English actor, recently (and deservedly) named Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer of the Year, has been a celebrity since age 11, this is his first time hosting SNL -- at the ripe old age of 22.
Over the years the show has certainly had a lot of fun parodying Harry Potter, who is usually portrayed by Rachel Dratch. Ten bucks says Lorne Michaels will get Dratch back in the studio to show up during Radcliffe's monologue. And if Michaels can convince Lindsay Lohan to reprise her role as the puberty-hitting Hermione, even better.
Lana Del Rey ("Video Games") will serve as the musical guest on Radcliffe's ep, one week after SNL kicks of the new year with a Jan. 7 show lorded over by basketball great Charles Barkley (hosting for the third time!) and featuring the music of Kelly Clarkson.
