Lindsay Lohan's New Tattoo Is an Homage to Billy Joel!

Lindsay Lohan's New Tattoo Is an Homage to Billy Joel!

Linday Lohan apparently knows that "too high or too low there ain't in-betweens" -- because her newest tattoo is a lyric courtesy of pop singer-songwriter Billy Joel.

It seems incongruous at first, since it's not like Joel has kept up his pop-culture caché, but there are some similarities between the two entertainers: They both hail from Long Island and have had trouble with driving under the influence. Now, according to TMZ, they can add their shared love of Joel's songwriting skills to their list of commonalities. LiLo, 25, apparently got inked across her slender ribcage with a line from one of Joel's lesser hits, "I Go to Extremes," from the blockbuster album Storm Front.

Lohan, who reportedly got inked at her favorite Los Angeles shop Shamrock Tattoos, chose a particularly fitting song to memorialize on her body. So what line from the 1990 hit -- which is rumored to be an apology from Joel to his then-wife and "Uptown Girl" Christie Brinkley -- did Lindsay select?

Turns out Lohan got the lyric "Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife. I feel like I'm in the prime of my life" inked on her rib cage. A source tells TMZ that Lindsay picked the line because "it represented where she is in life and everything she's been through... it signifies that she's focused." It's a nice sentiment -- and we certainly hope it's true.
